PNP physicians are aware of the new COVID-19 vaccine recommendations from the September 12th CDC meeting, recommending that all patients 6 months and above receive one dose of the new COVID-19 vaccine.
As of right now, the new COVID-19 vaccine is not yet available. We are actively investigating all of the logistics required to administer the COVID-19 vaccine and expect to be able to offer it in our offices in the near future. We will let our patients know as soon as it becomes available.
PNP physicians are also aware of the new RSV injection (Beyfortus) and are excited about the potential benefits.
As of right now, it is also not yet available nor covered by the insurance companies. The American Academy of Pediatrics is working hard to ensure that health insurance companies cover this, and we are hopeful that this injection will become available for our patients in the near future. We will let our patients know as soon as this injection becomes available to use.
