A Farewell Message from Dr. Riewe

A letter from Dr. Katie Riewe to her patients.  (Dr. Riewe’s last day at PNP will be Thursday July 27th)—

To my patients and their families,

As some of you have heard, I will be leaving Princeton Nassau Pediatrics at the end of July.  During the 14 years I have been a pediatrician at PNP, I have had the honor of caring for such wonderful children and their families which certainly makes this change bittersweet!  After doing volunteer work at HomeFront over the past year and a half, I have made the decision to practice pediatrics in an underserved community for the next part of my career.  While I will miss my patients at PNP very much, I hope to be able to offer the same quality of pediatric care to my new patients, while learning from them and taking on some new challenges.

To those of you who I have had the chance to share this news with in person, it has truly been heartwarming to hear the well wishes and gracious responses.  To those of you who I haven’t had the chance to tell directly, I will miss you all and know that you will be in excellent hands with my PNP colleagues.

To quote the wise and wonderful children’s author Judy Blume, “Our fingerprints don’t fade from the lives we touch.” Please know that I am honored to have shared everything from incredible joy to unimaginable grief to all the in between everyday milestones with you and your children.

With my best wishes for all,

Katie Riewe
