PNP Statement on Vaccines

Confusing headlines?  Conflicting advice? We get it.

The politics may have changed but the science remains unchanged and strongly supports vaccines as recommended previously by the American Academy of Pediatrics.  All immunizations are still covered by commercial insurance and NJ’s requirements for daycare and school have NOT changed at all.

At PNP, we’re here to cut through the noise. Our mission is to support you in making the best decisions for your family, backed by research, evidence, and a lot of heart.  We will continue to provide the clinical expertise and support you need to make informed, confident decisions for your child.

It is important to understand that the window of highest risk for disease is in infancy.    There is robust evidence that vaccinating early is a safe way to provide immunity during this window.  The immune system of an infant handles thousands of antigens daily, from the air to routine household exposures, and the vaccines given in the first year of life do not overwhelm the system.

As always, we are here to help you navigate these challenges.  Feel free to reach out to your PNP physician whenever you have questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

The Physicians of PNP
