Princeton Nassau Pediatrics will be continuing its Parent Education lecture series for families. The lecture series will be offered in our Princeton office after hours, from 7pm until 8:30pm and will cover a variety of pediatric topics, but mostly focusing on mental health issues.

Parenting Your Teen With Worry, Anxiety or Depression

Parents often find themselves grappling with how to best support their teens who are struggling with worry, anxiety and depression. In this informative, exploratory, and action oriented session, parents will learn methods for becoming a supportive and requiring parent, coping skills known for their higher efficacy in fighting depression and anxiety in adolescents, signs for when to seek professional help, and how to take care of themselves while taking care of their teen

The above lecture will be given by Jennifer Furey, LPC. Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Masters Degree specializing in Couples and Family Therapy. Jennifer has worked in a number of settings, helping children and adults of all ages deal with Anxiety and Depression. She has a local private practice, works as a Senior Primary Therapist at a partial hospitalization program and is a mom of three school aged children. All of Jennifer's work comes with a focus on movement, healing, kindness of self and others, mindfulness and empowerment.
