2008 Flu Shot Information
Posted on Oct 10, 2008 PNP is now taking appointments for flu vaccines for our patients. We are able to offer vaccinations on most days of the week with appointments in the mornings and afternoons. We ask that you call the office you normally attend to schedule your appointment in that office. If your child is scheduled for a well child visit during October or November, they will be offered the vaccine at that time.
PNP is following current CDC/ACIP recommendations, and thus we are recommending that annual vaccination be administered to all children under the age of 18 years.
Children with medical conditions are encouraged to schedule their vaccination as early in the season as possible.
Children attending day care or pre-school in the state of New Jersey are required to get vaccinated this season.
Children under the age of 9 who are receiving the vaccine for the 1st time or only received one dose last year will need 2 vaccines this season, one month apart.
We ask for your patience and understanding as we attempt to protect our community's children against influenza while making this process as smooth for our patients as possible.
